Privacy notice

Looper (looper.ae) is run by SIA Nexus Group L.L.C-FZ. This notice says what Looper keeps about you and why.

What we keep

What it is used for

Only to run your drive log: show it to you, build your reports and send you the emails the service needs (confirming your email and resetting your password). It is not sold, shared for marketing, or shown to other users. Your drive log is private to your account.

The one exception is your choice: if you tick Share my car and level in your profile, the car and level in your profile fill in for other Looper members who put you in a convoy under your Carnity name. They then keep that in their own drive log. Untick it at any time to stop sharing; nothing else about you or your drives is ever shared.

Your other choice is exporting. A report, Reel, Post or Swipe set is made on your own device and only goes where you take it. A Reel, Post or Swipe set can include your photos, captions and stop notes, and the names and cars of the people you drove with, so check them before you post.

Other services

To build a report, Looper reads the Carnity event page (for a Carnity drive you fill from it) and the Gaia GPS track or shared GPX file (Google Drive, Dropbox) you link to, and asks Open-Meteo for the weather at the start. For a drive made from a GPS file alone, it asks OpenStreetMap for the name of the place where the track starts. Maps show satellite imagery from Esri, loaded by your browser. These services see only those requests, not your account.

The people in your convoys

Your drive log holds details of other drivers, as you enter them. Keep them to what you need for your drives, and remove a driver's details if they ask you to.

Where it is kept

On Looper's web hosting in the United Arab Emirates, with daily copies of your drive database kept for 30 days.
